FACTOR ANALYSIS WHICH AFFECTING THE ROLE PRIVATE PRACTICE DOCTOR IN ENCOMPASSING TUBERCULOSIS SUSPECT FROM PUBLIC PRIVATE MIX METHODE (Studiy in Surabaya Area City)

Abstract


Background: Tuberculosis (TB) disease escalate the society morbidity, particularly in develop country. As an effort to improve TB service, developed a Private Public Mix (PPM) program which involve government service, private, and NGO in order to qualified TB DOTS service. The private service coverage that networking in TB DOTS is remain low, especially Private Practice Doctor. The purpose of the research is to analyze the factor that affect Private Practice Doctor role in encompassing TB suspect through PPM method in Surabaya City year 2017.

Methode: Research type is observational analytic which used unobstuctive method with case-control study design research. The amount of sample in this research using 132 Private Practice Doctor with 34 Private Practice Doctor case sample, and 98 Private Practice Doctor control sample. The analysis uses Simple Logistic Regretion and Double Logistic Regretion.

Result: The research reveals that distribution variation of Private Practice Doctor coverage from 135 patients TB suspect which is founded are referred to Society Health Center and Hospital in amount of 82 patients (60,7%). From the 82 patients TB suspect referred by Private Practice Doctor to health service facility shows that 20 of them examine laboratory and 12 of them positive TB (60,0%). The invention of TB suspect by Private Practice Doctor coverage in research area giving 19.1% towards all total research TB suspect patients in Society Health Center area of North Surabyaa and East Surabaya. From 8 variable analyzed 3 variabled affected Private Practice Doctor role in encompassing TB suspect. Those three variables are age with p-value 0,18 and OR value = 3,809 (95% CI : 1,225<OR<11,561), practice profile p-value 0,020 dan OR value = 1,112 (95% CI : 1,017<OR<1,217) and the average amount of patients with p-value 0,009  and OR value = 3,057 (95% CI : 1,315<OR<7,107).

Conclusion: Invention coverage TB suspect by Private Practice Doctor gives contribution 19,1% towards total invention TB suspect in Society Health Center Area of North Surabaya and East Surabaya. There are 3 (three) variables affected Private Practice Doctor role, they are age, practice profile, and the average amount of patients.

Suggestion: reward and punishment is needed to motivate Private Practice Doctor, and Private Practice Doctor is required to have socialization/training/workshop about TB DOTS and ISTC method, consider to Private Practice Doctor’s age, practice history and the average amount of patients.
